Traveling From Boston
BUS: Concord Coach Lines runs an express bus from Boston to Portland with a travel time around two hours and roundtrip tickets as low as $40. Make it a day trip and come see, hear, taste, and sense all that Portland has to offer with hogfish. Executive style seating, free movies, wifi, and complimentary premium snacks and beverages.
TRAIN: The Downeaster train from North Station in Boston stops in Portland and Freeport. Connections to national train service are available through Boston North Station.
CAR: Alternatively, it’s a quick shot up I-95 from Boston to Portland, running around an hour and a half to two hours depending on traffic and how fast you drive.
Traveling from New York
FLY: Portland International Jetport
is two miles west of downtown Portland and a 20 minute drive to Freeport. Flights take only fifty minutes in the air. JetBlue runs low cost flights from New York’s Laguardia and JFK airports during the summer season. Delta also runs flights out of New York airports and United rights flights out of Newark’s EWR airport.
BUS: The Plus Bus on Concord Coach Lines offers a premiere bus service direct from New York City to Portland. Travel time is approximately five and a half hours and round trip tickets can be found for as low as $160. Executive style seating, free movies, wifi, and complimentary premium snacks and beverages.
DRIVE: Roughly a five to six hour drive depending on traffic and how fast you drive.
